Today an explosion is said to have occurred at the Federal College of Education in Kano leaving many students killed.
According to reports, gunfire was also heard and the attack is believed to be the work of the Boko Haram terrorists.
Unconfirmed accounts also have it that the gunmen invaded the institution while shooting sporadically to clear their path to the theater where they set off the bomb.
Residents of the Kabuga area, where the college is, have reportedly confirmed the incident to Vanguard saying that there is confusion in the area as people are running for their lives.
Security officials were also reportedly seen heading to the college.
