Today 29th Aug 2014, The Senegalese Health Minister, Awa Marie Coll Seck told newsmen that the first case was a 21 year old Guinean. The patient who was being treated in his country had fled Guinea to seek refuge in Senegal. But Guinea's Ministry of Health immediately informed senegalese medical authorities who managed to locate and quarantine him in a hospital in the capital.
